When cam sites are busiest: hours, days and viewer peaks
Open a cam site at breakfast and again late at night and you'll see two different places. The number of live rooms rises and falls through the day, and so does the audience in them. This guide uses a full week of CamTrends tracking to show when rooms are busiest, when they're quietest and how weekends differ from weekdays.
Everyone listed on CamTrends is 18 or older. We are an index of who is live across partner cam sites. Accounts, payments and shows all happen on the cam site you open, never on CamTrends.
Where these numbers come from
CamTrends reads the data feed each partner cam site provides, on a repeating schedule, and records every room it sees live in 10-minute blocks. For this post we took every block from Tuesday, October 13 to Monday, October 19, 2026 (Pacific Time), across the 10 cam sites we index: 1,008 blocks in all.
Two numbers matter here:
- Live rooms: how many rooms were online in a block, in any show type (public, private, group, exclusive or on a short break).
- Viewer counts: the number of viewers each room showed, as reported by the five sites whose feeds include it (Stripchat, Chaturbate, CAM4, BongaCams and CamSoda), added up. One person watching two rooms counts twice, so treat this as a measure of activity, not of unique people.
All times below are Pacific Time (PT), with UTC in brackets so you can convert to your own zone. One week is a short window, so read the patterns as a snapshot rather than a rule.
The daily curve: busiest early afternoon PT
Across the week, an average of about 25,600 rooms were live at any moment. The busiest block of the week had about 34,600 live rooms, and the quietest had about 16,100.
The day had a clear shape:
- Quietest: 3 to 4 AM PT (10:00 UTC). On average about 20,500 rooms were live in this hour.
- Morning climb: 4 to 9 AM PT (11:00 to 16:00 UTC). From about 20,800 in the 4 AM hour, the count rose to about 28,600 between 8 and 9 AM PT.
- Busiest: 2 to 3 PM PT (21:00 UTC). The peak hour averaged about 30,500 live rooms. That's late evening in most of Europe and late afternoon on the US East Coast.
- Evening slide: 4 to 8 PM PT (23:00 to 03:00 UTC). The count fell to about 23,100 by 7 PM PT and stayed in the 23,000 to 24,500 range until midnight.
Every one of the 10 sites had its own busiest hour at 1 PM or 2 PM PT. Their quietest hours split into two groups. Stripchat, Chaturbate, Streamate and ImLive were quietest around 3 AM PT and CamSoda around 4 AM PT, while CAM4, BongaCams, LiveJasmin, XCams and XLoveCam were quietest around 7 to 8 PM PT (02:00 to 03:00 UTC), which is the middle of the night in Europe.
When the audience is largest
Viewer counts followed the room count for most of the day. Added up across the five reporting sites, they were lowest around 3 AM PT (about 1.1 million) and highest at 2 PM PT (about 1.6 million).
The evening is where the two curves part. From 5 PM to 8 PM PT the number of live rooms fell from about 25,400 to about 23,200, but the added-up viewer counts rose from about 1.27 million to about 1.37 million. Fewer rooms with a growing audience means more viewers per room, so US evening hours are a good time to look if you like busy chats. Early morning PT has the fewest rooms and the smallest total audience, though viewers per room stay about the same as at midday.
Weekdays vs weekends
The busiest days for rooms were mid-week. Thursday, October 15 averaged about 28,000 live rooms and Wednesday about 27,600. Sunday, October 18 was the quietest day, with about 21,200.
The audience moved the other way. Sunday had the highest daily average of added-up viewer counts of the week, about 1.46 million, against about 1.21 million on Tuesday. The gap was widest late at night: between midnight and 4 AM PT (07:00 to 11:00 UTC), weekend viewer counts ran about 16 to 22% above weekdays, while the number of rooms was almost the same.
So weekends bring fewer performers online and more people watching each one. Weekday afternoons PT bring the most choice.
Using this to find someone online
Broad patterns help you plan, but individual performers keep their own hours. A few ways to use CamTrends for that:
- Check a profile's usual hours. Each model profile shows when they were last seen and a chart of the hours they were usually online over the last 28 days, built from the same 10-minute tracking.
- Browse by site. The platform pages for Stripchat, Chaturbate, CAM4 and BongaCams list who is live on each one right now.
- See who's trending. The Trending page orders live models by TrendScore, our score built from our own tracking of rooms in partner feeds. It changes through the day as performers come and go.
Quick summary
- About 25,600 rooms were live at any moment on average during the week of October 13 to 19, 2026.
- The busiest hour was 2 to 3 PM PT (21:00 UTC) and the quietest 3 to 4 AM PT (10:00 UTC).
- US evenings had fewer rooms but more viewers per room.
- Weekends had fewer live rooms and larger audiences, especially late at night PT.
These figures describe CamTrends' own tracking of partner feeds, not the cam sites' internal totals, and they will shift as seasons, holidays and clock changes come around. We'll keep watching the data.
